During Christmas, I was gifted a betta fish without any preparation 🙁 I tried to get a tank and set up fast enough but he had the ick and didn’t make it. Since I had already bought a set up, we went and rescued a Betta that had been sitting since 9/26 (my birthday) and I bought him on 1/4. He is doing great but now is starting to show signs of fin rot? I think. What do I need to change or fix that won’t cost a lot at first? I recently changed the filter and I have added almonds leaves to the tank for tannins.

I noticed in other posts, people do not have an air bubbler so I took mine out!

i’m no expert but those almost look like tears? that pot decoration you have in there is cool but looks like it has quite a few rough spots and edges – their fins are super delicate I could def see that being a potential culprit i’d replace it with something more natural and smooth. I see a lot of people using stacked rounded rocks with holes.
Is he able to swim near your filter without getting pushed around? The water looks pretty agitated in the photo

Updated without the bubbler and vase 🙂
