I’ve always gone pike fishing, however, I’ve never caught a MONSTER. And the old man & I are going on a trip for one.

Need to know where the big females roam, we are going on a lake where we aren’t sure about the weed beds & what not, but according to this map, where would be the most ideal location for us to try based off the depth. Do we want a gradual drop off or pretty steep?

First of all I’m no expert lol , this season and last couple seasons ive been havin luck at around 10 to 12 feet rocky bottom with a very slight drop off , very high 30”s to low 40”s pikes ,check out my catches just for this season , all in one spot 10’ to 12’ish , you can see the bottom in some of the clips ive posted and again that’s just me lol , I’d go that depths
If it was me I’d be trying maybe by that “38” on the second to last picture.
See if you can look through Google Earth satellite imagery for any weed beds through the summer.
Side note: the contours on this lake are heavily interpolated so expect inaccuracy. There’s a good chance much of what you see on this map doesn’t actually exist beyond the few depth points they used to create the contours.
