Aquariums: Is it still night time for them if i have *my* light on?
i know the answer is probably no, but i just wanted to ask since i'm a night owl and don't get modivation to clean my room till late at night.

I call that time of day “fish sunset”.

Fish don’t have eye lids. I mean if you want the easy solution just get yourself a black light sheet and double fold it and throw it over. Only because you have pothos hanging out i wouldn’t use a heavy blanket
And aquarium plants need pitch black to do their processes. Using a light like that is usually how we see those random algae posts lol

Not really. When it’s pitch black, fish will remain pretty much motionless.
If they’re swimming around, they’re not at their most restful state.

One of life’s great dilemmas. My partner feels awful when she can’t sleep and gets up to wander aimlessly and wakes up the babies. I’m always happy to sit in the dark staring at me phone screen or watching tv so I don’t bother them much.
