I bought a Crappie Thunder telescopic pole at DSG, and tried setting it up to test for later. Problem is the “ferrules” aren’t sliding together at all. I think I might be able to get them together by twisting and pushing them in, but I’m worried I might break the pole instead. Has anyone bought these things before and knows what to do?

they go together from the bottom, tip slides into second ssection,then both of those slide through the next section,etc.
