On day three my ammonia shot to 6ppm. FISHLESS CYCLE
I did a 50% water change. Treated the water and added api quick start

Did not add any extra ammonia source and I removed all the fish flake I could get.

This is 24 hours after water change and my ammonia is still high. It's still hovering around 6-8ppm.

I'm starting to lose patience and my husband well he just fed up let's say and regret ever setting up a tank. I don't wanna give up yet tho I really really don't wanna but it just never stays below 4 it always shoots to 6-8ppm.

Yes I have a active soil. I wasn't aware of this until someone mentioned it yesterday and I went to the website to re read what I bout.

I haven't tested my tap water yet which I will do later today. Forgot to do it yesterday did water change late at night ( got two little monsta to take care off)

Any other advice that can help or just give up?

I had this issue when snails tried to take over my tank. The extra waste was causing it

tbh id just keep adding beneficial bacteria daily without water changes, nothings living in it so its not causing any harm
