Hey Everyone – After a trip to Lake Travis Texas last summer my family and I were disappointed because we really did not have much information about the lake leading up to the trip. I thought "there has to be a better way".
After digging through multiple government websites I found that Texas does release weekly fishing reports for large bodies of water, but they were hard to find and not easily accessible.
Since then I have been building a FREE iOS app called Empire Fish that fetches weekly fishing reports from TPDW website (lake specific) and shows them right in the app. You can read updated weekly fishing reports (Texas), species information, mark waypoints and share them with friends, save locations, and keep track of your biggest trophy catches, and more. All within the app.
I want to keep this app free because I was sick of paying for unreliable crowd sourced data with apps like Fishbrain, or aggressive paywalls for other apps, etc. That proved to be unreliable when I actually arrived at fishing spots near me.
Empire Fish is all government verified data.
