I am about one month into cycling. I started on December 17th and dosed the tank with Dr. Tim’s ammonia. My ammonia converted into nitrite and after about a week and a half the nitrite has gone down to 0ppm.
Now do I need to re dose ammonia and make sure it goes to 0ppm in 24 hours? And if it does then my tank is cycled correct? Thanks for any advice.

Yes that is correct and if it does then do a partial water change to bring the nitrates back down to a manageable level

  2. Don’t dose anymore Ammonia, your cycle is already complete. You just need to do a partial water change to lower the Nitrates, check parameters, and check parameters again tomorrow. If everything is still the same you’re cycled. Ideally between 5 and 20 PPM is where you want your Nitrate to sit. The bacteria you add to your tank after adding new water will be all the Ammonia you need.
