Hi Everyone,
I’m getting into fishing and trying to learn to read charts.
Where here look like good marks and would you try fishing?

Any and all advise would be amazing

  1. Good places to fish are going to depend on. What fish are targeting and what time of the year It is or what temperature at least the water is. If those 2 pictures you posted is all we have to go on. Then you’re either looking at contour lines. Where death changes quickly. Or you’re looking for dep sots, assuming it’s wintertime.

my advice would be to give more details, salt water or fresh, species, boat or no boat, etc

  3. I’d try fishing anywhere the numbers get squiggly—if the fish don’t bite, at least I can blame it on the confusing chart!

  4. Gonna have to tell us what kind of fish.

Structure or edges (changes in bottom or depth) are generally promising, but again depends what kind of fish.
