I’m sure this has been asked many times and I can’t seem to find a post.
What do you guys recommend for a 0% experienced fly fisher? I fish for large mouth but wanted to try something new this year.
Was thinking of picking up this bass pro shop rod and reel combo.

Don’t put too much thought into a starter set up! Have fun with a cheap cheap combo with decent line and flies and learn while breaking a ton of line off in trees. Use cheap flies. Fish will eat them and you’ll have fun. If you’re not catching, that’s the normal and just keep having fun. Maybe a beer or two. If you don’t enjoy a day on the river doing nothing but swinging line, get some lessons and do it again. Don’t over think it!
