I guess I also learned from that experience and improved my tank but people can be really

disrespectful and discouraging on here. Anyways, more respectful tips and suggestions are always welcome. I think I’ve reached a point where I feel satisfied with my set up tho I may add some more plants. And replace the little house thingy in the top left with an aquatic rock. (Also my lid is usually closed before anyone jumps about that)

Agreed, I posted as a brand newbie and a few people were very harsh ☹️ you should be proud that you kept going!

People can be really harsh for no reason. Im sorry for your bad experience. Your tank is cute. Idk if its just the photo but it has so much depth. You did a good job.

  3. Similar experience ahaha, my first post blew up and had some tough love 🤣 but i take it as people being passionate in the hobby. That being said, job well done on your tank! Looking forward to seeing more updates 🙂

  4. I love this tank! I’m new to having a beta and I would never post because I see how people get treated. I do the best I can and learn more every day.

As a LONG TIME BETTA LUVR, I would never be discouraging to someone new to fish. It’s counterproductive. There are ways to give criticism and advice without being cruel. The only time I think being mean is “called for” is if OP is clearly neglecting the fish and being hateful to people trying to help. Otherwise, we’re all here to love our fishy friends! Your tank looks cozy and I would totally live there if I was a betta
