Meet Fetty Wap! I just got him yesterday, as uiu can see hes missing an eye. I started a Kanaplex treatment to be safe since the area is quite red. Anyone been through something like this? Any advices? Thanks!!

That eye might have been lost due to a injury through previous shipment, or a infection.
Quarantine and doing a course of meds is the right call since the are is still ‘discolored’.
If it doesn’t go fully away the discoloration might be permanent as scar.
I’d do a precautionary course of anti-parasitics as well, against internal parasites specifically, they only show when the infection is already really bad and especially with Inverts in the tank the treatment gets complicated as most meds against the parasites also kill shrimps and snails.
Especially if he came from less than ideal circumstances (with that missing eye i’d be extra careful).
Also he might go for the shrimp, observe how he reacts to them and if he hunts them you need to seperate or he’ll probably overeat himself to death and/or disrupt the shimp’s breeding cycle – it doesn’t matter if he has long fins shrimp aren’t the brightest in matters of survival.
