id just do it and hope for the best, for me adding shrimp first did NOT help at all as they are TERRIFIED of my betta and are now basically permanently hiding under a rock, its so sad to see knowing how lively they were before. that being said id start with a smaller group of amano shrimp (better chance of survival) first to see if the betta is aggressive or not and add more if it isnt

Iâve heard you can take the betta out, rearrange some of the stuff in the tank, then add the community members, let them acclimate, and then finally add your betta back in. I think itâs to help sort of get everyone on even footingâŠeven fins?
