Hey all, i have a few questions im hoping the experts can advise.
I have a 30 gallon tank, 80cm long that is moderate planted with some driftwood. It has been established for 6 months now. Recently removed lots of moss as it was overgrowing everywhere.
Originally i had the following stock, added overtime.
8 x harlequin rasboras (reputable high quality aquarium store)
17 x celestial pearl danio (home breeder)
6 x pgymy cordydora (home breeder)
1 x honey gourami (chain pet store)
20 x red cherry shrimp (home breeder)
Now i currently have:
8 x harlequin rasbora
7 x celestial pearl danio (slowly dying off, dont notice them dead as the shrimp eat them)
5 x pgymy corydora (one blew up to double his size, he was like this for about a month and then decided it was not fair to keep him alive like that)
– Honey gourami i put him down as he was swimming upside down in circles at the bottom of tank
Maybe 60 to 80 RCS.
My water is always fine, with 0 nitrates and other paramaters within the right range because of the planrs. Do a 30% ish water change one a week or fortnight.
Would you say this is normal fish loss?
Im looking to get some new fish.
What do you think would be nice in here, green neon tetras, cardinal tetras, rummynose tetra, bristlenose catfish?

Everything but the danio seems normal. I’m by no means an expert but I know with home breeders the fish can have health issues. Not that fish farms are any better
