I put this piece of wood in my tank 3 months ago and it still float as soon as I remove the rocks on top. Is there anything I can do to make it absorb water faster ? The wood have been drying and n the sun for almost a decade before I cut it.

mine floated for about 7 months, lol.
you can try glueing some rocks to it, on the inside if you don’t like the look
Harvested outside? Could take years, boiling helps with sinking and tannins but still with a log that size the odds aren’t your your side. If you’re set on the wood tie it to rocks and bury them under the substrate
4 weeks try boiling it
Boiling can speed it up, but with that size, it will probably take months. Just weigh it down but glueing or tieing it to rocks
Months! I ended up weighing mine down with rocks.
How long would a driftwood float if a driftwood could float good?
