This tank has been well established for over 6 months as a host to several lots of platy fry. The last lot has finally grown big enough to be in the main tanks, and I'm looking at getting a betta tomorrow (nothing is set in stone) as something different. I can reorient the filter to be less in the water. My last Betta died almost three years ago, and he was pretty happy in a pretty much identical setup for those three and a bit years

Forgot to mention, there’s one other fish who is a permanent resident. Just a pleco who does a terrible job at algae control. He’s pretty chill and likes to hide most of the time
What’s the tank size?
Anything under 40L is not suitable for any fish
Cant put a number but should be good…
Personally I would add some more live plants in it…do you have airstones as well?
No problem if a pleco is there, they would just ignore each other anyway… for me when buying a Betta, If im not after a certain color I would pick them based on their attitude, i mostly look for a betta thats confidently swimming out and about in its tank
5, could work but there are many things to improve , what’s the size?
