I know using the same battery doesn't work but can they be this close? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

  1. Key-Distribution-531 on

Not a dumb question I would wanna know too, I was looking up whether or not they had to be different batteries some said it will add interference some say it won’t. Probably fine here as long as you wires aren’t touching a bunch? Idk. Hope you find you answer

  2. as long as there is a little room for swelling. Boats commonly stuff their multiple batteries in a shared, tight space.

  3. Do yourself a favor and make a spade terminal to connector pigtail. Then slobber hot glue over the terminals on the battery so they don’t loosen every time you remove them or worse still break off.

  4. Notch the top of the box for the fish finder wires on the side so separate from the battery cables but plenty of freeboard above the bottom. Per above comment, leave room for some swelling.
