Got my birthday present a little early. Headed out to the beach today. Make no mistake, I am as newbie as they come but I just couldn’t stay out of the water. 9ft rod, 9line, rio saltwater leader…just used the chartreuse fly today. Looked like a fool for the first 30 mins, but got to feeling it after that. Had one hit and miss but that feeling. Arm aches a bit but back out tomorrow . Thanks for the advice for Mangrove Outfitters! Tom got me set up with some essentials.

That’s dope!! I’m landlocked but been saltwater bait fishing before and it was insanely fun when the fish actually puts up a hard fight. I just got a 7wt with a 2 weight heavy SA line and it’s crazy how much better these bigger weight rods cast big flys
Is that a Bass Pro rod? I actually considered adding one as a backup!
That Lightbulb fly is a great one for beach snook.
