What kind of hides would my betta like? i've tried floating logs, sitting hollow logs, hollow rocks, tubes of sorts, and she doesn't seem to like anything or really ever rest anywhere.. I am cycling this new tank for her now, i'm adding a few more plants i just needed them from a different aquarium store. But does anyone have any good hides or resting area advise?

Not all betta’s feel the need to hide, you just need to give them the option to do so. Mine personally prefer caves and to hide in plants. I have one betta who prefers to rest in the roots of the pothos I have in the tank. But the betta in my kitchen is almost never hiding. He likes to watch us 😂

I had one who liked a coconut hide and another who claimed a filter cover sponge that fell into the tank. Slushie tucks himself into the side of the largest piece of drift wood with the cories.

    All depends on the fish!

  3. Natural plants make the best hides 🙂 the main floating rests my bettas have enjoyed is live anubis attached to a suction cup i keep roughly an inch under water or floating plants. Easier beginner plants that also make good hides are java fern and anubis, ludwigia and vall are usually easy to grow tall plants id jist use root tabs

  4. I have had three betta in my life and all three liked to hide and rest in different places. My current guy likes his tube with a leaf on it at the top of the tank, a log that grows live plants on the outside ( he shares that with the pleco), and the live plants more now that he’s an old man.
