The river I fish is stocked a lot in this are but this one stands out of the bunch

  1. The adipose fin isn’t clipped, and a lot of places clip stocked trouts adipose fins to help differentiate between them and wild trout so depending on where you’re located I’d say it’s wild/native

    are brown trout actually native to your area or are you referring to a wild born fish because there is a difference

    Can’t tell from the photo. Stockers (water chickens) often have clubbed fins and a blunted anterior.
