td;lr i have minir PTSD from my prev betta who had severe fin rot(?) which may have started from his fins potentially being cut by plants or hardscape in the tank.
So i'm very worried that the same would happen to Harry here as well, especially since he is VERY curious about everything and would squeeze through seeminly impossible spaces.
Any thoughts if my tank setup is ok?

It looks good to me, but what you really need to do is run your hand over the wood and rocks. If you feel anything sharp/pokey then it should be shaved down to be safe!
Finrot is not caused just by ripped fins and it’s highly unlikely plants will cut them. If you have some sort of sharp wood maybe but usually it’s fine. I wouldn’t worry. There’s a chance your last one did catch finrot. It’s not always due to a lack of care, and treatmentbis possible. Do you have a heater?
First of all, there is nothing like a “mini PTBS”.Why does everyone need to have a self-diagnosed psychiatric disorder these days?
Regarding your fish- if the plants are real, they can not cut your betta’s fins, don’t worry.
The more plants, the better.
Hey Mate, generally, heavy planted tanks are safe for bettas, while bettas lived in dense vegetation…
It’s more on how its planted -layout.
Looking here looks alright but i dont know the full details there, if there are some driftwood or decor there that has jagged edge then you know what to do there.
Fin rot can happen even if there are no injuries, if tank has bad water quality, fish is stressed and has low immune system then fin rot can occur…
your betta is so cute
I think lucky betta!! Great job. He’ll b in Heaven swimming around his forest! Great job.
