





I had a pretty decent day this weekend on a western Oregon river. I've mostly fished this river upstream, where I catch wild rainbows and maybe the occasional coastal cutthroat. All of those fish are pretty muted in color.
This day I caught two holdover stocked fish in the 14-16 inch range and a smaller wild rainbow. It's interesting to see how different they look. I harvested one of the stocked fish, and in the last pic, you can see that it has cutthroat marks. I have seen that in hatchery rainbows in Oregon before.
