Betta Fish: Little man is tweaking. Normal behaviour?
Helloooo! I have my boy Kiko here, who I purchased from my lfs just over a week ago. He seems really hyperactive and fired up, but doesn’t flare. He’s eating like a champ.
He’s in a filtered, heated, planted 8 gallon.

Are you able to test the water parameters to rule out a water quality issue? Including ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH at minimum?

Secretly watch him from afar. Don’t let him notice you. Observe his movements. If he calms down and starts doing his own thing, he was probably just asking for food.
