Need to whip up some little black stonefly’s but have limited materials. Do you guys this this will work? Plus an update on the nymph box im tying, pattern recommendation and advice welcome!

Yes and no. It’ll fish, but you can make better ones. Check out Kaufman Stones or the Twenty Incher.
