It took me about a year to commit to getting a tank but I am so happy I did! I absolutely love my aquarium and am super excited to continue with this hobby. My mom convinced me to get 2 guppies the other day, even though I wanted to wait a bit for my plants to establish more and raise my GH and KH before adding in live creatures (I ordered a remineralizer today because they did not have any at the petstore I went to yesterday). Albeit getting the fish on a whim, I adore them and I will be very upset if they don't make it so I am quickly trying to research them. The red one is named Rage and he is very energetic and likes to be pushed around by the airstone or nibble aimlessly on the ground, the black one is Bazooka and he is bold, curious, and pretty intelligent from what I've seen.

I plan on adding floaters a little later but keeping them contained in a ring, and there are more plants in the tank than what can be seen from this photo (my crypts melted very badly but they are sprouting + growing well). I did get ramshorn snails off a plant but I've just been doing population control by grabbing them when I see them on the wood.

Does anyone have any advice, tips, or tricks for a beginner? I have done lots of research but I'm still learning every day:)
