I've never noticed him do this before, but I keep seeing him do this today. I'm not sure if he's just playing or not. It's a 10gal, he has some snail buddies. There were some tetra in their while my bigger tank was cycling, they were with him for about a week. He's super chill and has had temp roommates before since I know he has always got along well with others. Should I get him a permanent friend? Or just let him have his fun? Also, I'm sorry my camera didn't want to focus on anything but the plant and of course he noticed me filming him and came over so I couldn't get a better video. Parameters are the same as always

In case it’s hard to tell he keeps swimming right under the water drop from the filter and tumbling around. Nothing is hard directly under it and it’s not strong enough to send him to the bottom
Hey not to stress you out, but my boy started getting pissy at his filter and shortly after bit his whole tail off š¤¦
I’d recommend putting a background (i just used a white towel wedged in between the hob and glass) to stop him from getting too riled up towards his reflection on the filter. Or you can just keep an eye on him. This is just my opinion based on what my guy ended up doing lol
it almost looks like the force of the water kicked him sideways a bit when he went under it maybe try adding a baffle to your outflow. you can use a coarse aquarium sponge or thereās water bottle hacks too.
I had a betta named moose and he LOVED scaring the crap out of me by going right up to the intake of his filter and sticking to it. I’d freak out and go take the net handle or something and poke him and as soon as he saw me open the lid he’d hop off of it like he was never stuck and get all pissy and flare at me and then go right back on it like it felt good or something 𤣠never caused any damage to his fins or scales or anything and he was easily able to get off of it and it seemed to make him happy so I just let him do it . He would do it randomly throughout the day for a minute or two at a timeš¤·he also liked riding the current of the outtake of the filter like a water slide and would get mad and zoom around and flare and have a hissy fit if his snail roommate was on his one very specific leaf. They have personality. Get to know him!
Toddler with a chute.
When I first put the air curtain in my tank to try and clear up the surface she was playing in the bubbles for days.
like everyone else is saying, this looks like his fault lol. can you turn the water flow on it down?? bettas love chill water and hate strong currents.
