A buddy is selling his 2020 Hobie Compass.
He’s offering it to me for $1800CAD which I think is a pretty good price.
I’ve been debating between the mirage drive system and a straight prop drive. I’ll mostly be fishing in small lakes. I have a cottage on Southern Georgian Bay so might venture out there sometimes depending on how calm the water is although I don’t have any down riggers or a deep water set up in general so it’ll be mostly small lakes in the area.
The only downside I can see is that there’s no instant reverse. I was at the Toronto boat show checking out the Pro Angler and while I love the idea of having a wider boat with significantly more room to stand AND the upgraded seat I can’t fathom spending $5400CAD on a kayak.
I also checked out the Das King.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all
