I’m new to owning betta fish so I might be concerned for no reason but is this normal? The first photo was taken a few days ago when I got her from PetSmart (the employee gave her to me for free because she was “ugly” and no one wanted her and she’d been there for over 2 months) and the second photo is from this evening. She seems to be changing colors so could she be sick? She is super lively (even more than when I got her) and is eating well. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Yes! It’s normal when they are in a happy, healthy environment 🙂
Totally normal & nothing to worry about. In fact deepening colors like this is generally a sign that they’re healthier! 🙂
