At least a 20g. Don’t be stoopid and try doowing a 10 ok?

75g, but larger is always better.

At LEAST 5 gallons. Maybe 10. 20 if you’ve got the money.

Wonder if they sell them at petco in small 10g buckets
Deepdepths4 on
Not too big but you can probably add a betta
AlettaVadora on
They grow to about 168 inches and are fast swimmers, so at least 1000 gallons
Wonderful_Fennel_224 on
Just go to petco, they’ve got a kit and all. Grab a beta while you’re at it. Maybe a ferret.

I think one of those 2 gallon Amazon LED Bluetooth headphone cat entertainment tanks would suit it perfectly

I mean if you dont plan on keeping it till adulthood you could keep a fry in an average size tank for like 3 months

I have a pet manatee but I let it live out in the springs and rivers. I’m not sure it knows it’s my pet

Okay but like I’m actually wondering how big it would have to be lol
Like the Atlanta Aquarium has whale sharks, so it’s not like it’s *impossible,* just not at home

If you’re gonna keep one you might as well get two they can get lonely. Also breed while you’re at it! They’re growing in popularity I see them at every LFS these days, verrry trendy

Lol those are photos of striped marlin. And no, id say you’d need a commercial aquarium since they are highly migratory species with a very fast speed. So we are talking 300,00 gallons minimum. Check out Monterey Bay Aquarium for their tuna tank! Striped marlin would need the same.

*** to differentiate the species, look at the height if the dorsal fin. If it is larger than the depth of the body its a striped, it it is shorter, its a blue

100*50*10 meter saltwater tank minimum, 200*50*20 meter saltwater tank recommended. They’re good swimmers and grow up to 5 meters long.

When i was a kid, my dad and I once found a 4 or 5cm fry that had recenlty washed up on a ro. We put it back in a deep rock pool – man oh man that little guy had the fastest zoomies ive ever seen! They are super fast!
Background_Weird2208 on
They’d break their face so fast. They would need a huge, very specialized tank and I still don’t think it’d work. They’re too quick and too. pelagic haha .
Specific_Ant_6110 on
Maybe 20g but it can only go with snails.

If you’re seriously interested in creating an inland ocean, and have the resources, pm me. It’s totally doable

Or you could get a submarine and become the marlins pet make sure it has a lot of glass so he can watch you in your tank

Thrive? Lol
I mean…. a tank the size of an ocean would probably do it. 😅
How many gallons is 1000 square miles
