Take out your big floaters and clean them off meticulously.
Get a rectangle of metal wire mesh window screen, about the size of an index card. Bend over the sharp edges and crimp them with pliers so they don’t poke you or fish. Then use the screen by pinching one of the long sides closed so it’s a scoop and scooping and skimming the curved edge across the water to catch the duckweed.
Have a bucket near and chuck the duckweed in. It’s easy to get duckweed off the screen by turning it upside down and flicking it with your finger a few times like you are thumping a melon. The weed just flies off. Then scoop more. You can get in small spots and on the edges and it’s easy to pick out even individual leaves with the screen.
I’ve eliminated it in several tanks with this same piece of window screen I’ve had for years. Just keep it up, going back a couple times after the first round to catch any stragglers before they start going crazy again.

Just agitate the water surface. And duck weed gone like like a weekish.

I’m in a mission to buy another of those Grey ring clips you have on the rim. Mine broke recently

Good luck and godspeed. I’ve failed numerous times to eliminate it in my 75.
Buy a cheap, fine tooth comb and just hit the top before you feed for a minute. Eventually youll get ahead of it.
