Unfortunately (though perhaps not entirely), I've recently inherited some fly fishing gear and would like to continue the legacy!
No rod to go along with these, but a pflueger trion 2856 reel and a lureflash reel (not sure on line weight on them at the moment, any way to tell?) as well as little bits (forceps, nips, priest etc)
No wild trout near me in West Sussex, and I'm not a major fan of farmed fisheries (not least due to the price 😂), however my local rivers and ponds are pretty well stocked with chub, skimmer bream, roach, dace, pike, perch and carp.
Have i anything here that could make it worthwhile getting a cheap rod and having a crack on the river come the summer for some of these species?
