Betta Fish: My Betta has a white mouth

Hello! I'm a first time Betta owner here. I didn't notice when I bought him 2 days ago but now I see his mouth is white and his face has some discoloration unlike the rest of his blue body. I search online and it said a fungal infection but it doesn't look like the picture. And I will upgrade him to a bigger tank soon. Asking for a friend.
