I jus picked up this guy today! His fins are gorgeous (the picture doesn’t do it justice) and I’m looking forward to seeing how he matures.
Also, I’m mildly concerned about his gills and head area. They look slightly discolored (?) any thoughts?

That one is going to be interesting to see for sure!
The gills look like they have ammonia burn, and it’s pretty common if he’s been in a cup/bag for a while. Keep an eye on it, it should solve itself in a week or two if your parameters are good. Nice purple though! I love the range of pastels
My store has a female w similar coloring. Hoping she’s there when I’m ready!
