I know in custom rod building, the common cents method and effective rod numbers are employed heavily to characterize rods but I wish this was more accepted in commercial manufacturing. I think it is frustrating we continue to buy rods with non standardized subjective powers and actions. And sensitivity is really misunderstood or just “felt” for. I’m going to start testing rods numerically to understand my gear better. I explain this more in detail in this video.
