My coworker had this 100 gallon acrylic tank in her garage, her ex husband used it for a bit but it had been neglected for a number of years, finally she was clearing house and asked if I wanted it. How could I not?! I spent about a week sanding and polishing it back to be clear and free of scratches. At the same time I had a 60 gallon tank that was a little crowded, so I set this up and transferred everything over! I am over the moon happy with how it turned out. The substrate is a mix of red gravel from a local pet store, play sand and river pebbles from Lowe’s (heavily washed) I found the large rocks while on vacation and the drift wood while on a hike. Finally I backlit the whole thing to help it blend into our living room. What I love most about this build was how excited my kids were to help through the whole process and see everything come together! This is why it is my favorite hobby
