A couple days ago i noticed a rip in Atlas' tail, presumably from tank decor. I’ve kept an eye on him couple days and he only seems to be getting worse? His bottom fin seems fine and he’s still active (swimming up to glass when he sees me and eating fine). Before I start treating him for fin rot I want to be sure that that’s what it is as medicine and salt baths and such would only stress him out (if it is fin biting). Thanks for any help.

He lives in a 6.5 gallon with live plants (silk one is only in there for hiding spaces whilst his hornwart grows). There’s stress coat and lots of tannins in the tank aswell 🙂
