So I got all the way out here was about to pop a few holes and see what’s down there. This would be my first time using my auger since I put new blades on. Pretty sure I installed upside down because it will not dig or cut out into the ice. And of coarse I have no tools with me and I hate to drive all the way back to Saint Paul. Anyone have any suggestions?

My little AI app says to tell you:
Yep — blades are definitely upside down. The cutting edge should lead when you spin it, not trail. If you’ve got a Leatherman, crescent wrench, or can borrow a screwdriver/socket from someone nearby, flip them and you’ll be drilling in under a minute. Worst case, ask around — ice anglers are usually cool about tools. 👍
Long long way away but yes. Your blades are upside down. No tools? Leatherman pliers nearest gas station quick stop. Sorry. Good luck.
Thanks
