So I got all the way out here was about to pop a few holes and see whatโ€™s down there. This would be my first time using my auger since I put new blades on. Pretty sure I installed upside down because it will not dig or cut out into the ice. And of coarse I have no tools with me and I hate to drive all the way back to Saint Paul. Anyone have any suggestions?

  1. My little AI app says to tell you:

Yep โ€” blades are definitely upside down. The cutting edge should lead when you spin it, not trail. If youโ€™ve got a Leatherman, crescent wrench, or can borrow a screwdriver/socket from someone nearby, flip them and youโ€™ll be drilling in under a minute. Worst case, ask around โ€” ice anglers are usually cool about tools. ๐Ÿ‘

  2. Long long way away but yes. Your blades are upside down. No tools? Leatherman pliers nearest gas station quick stop. Sorry. Good luck.
