Hello! I just got this betta yesterday, her names Crowley. She's been very active since she's been in the tank but I'm wondering if she looks good and healthy? She's my first fish…kinda (I got a situationship with a platie in my turtle tank…) I want everything to go good for her!

Also does anyone have tips on how to get rid of hair algae? IV kinda been struggling with it :/ there's a lot less cause I've been better at turning the light off on time but there just seems to always be a bit.

I think the algae is fine. The shift in light will naturally balance that.

You need to keep the water around 80-82 if possible, and test the water for pH, nitrites, nitrates, and ammonia.

Doing a water change of 25%-50% can help with ammonia spikes and bacteria growing.

I’m sure there will be a lot more advice.

I expect her to get a lot of color as things are healthier for her now. She looks like she might be mottled, so could turn all blue, or koi. Her colors can change over time.

We feed ours Fluval Bug Bites.

    She’s a cute fishy <3
