So its my first time setting up a shrimp tank.
I am setting the plants up. I will be using lava stone and dragon rock
A sponge filter ofc.
So how many Shrimp do you guys thing can fit in this ?
Its a ikea storage bin ( budget issues) Its volume is about 12 Liters (3.17 Gallon)
I have added bacteria and some food for it to rot and establish a bacteria colony
The last pic its just a sponge i have added at the bottom as the container had no support in the middle.
Light will be on for 8-10 Hours
As for plants i have Java moss Money plant And Salvinia natans.
I plan to add 5 blue or red shrimp.
So its my first time (had fishes and a tank before) So please give me any suggestions or improvements

You could actually put a surprising amount of neocaridina shrimp in there, ~2 per litre easy and sometimes much more.
The main thing is they don’t handle fluctuations well, so you want to cycle it well first, and then maybe just add the 5 you plan and if you’re lucky one has babies.
I added 20 or so to my 60L and I now have maybe 200 but my tank is heavily planted with soil and an oversized filter.
