I really cant find any info or examples of people using these. Anyone have any advice?

Guessing here but they look like something that would be tipped with a minnow or worm and used for ice fishing.

These are sheepshead/blackfish(toutog) jigs in most cases a crab and sometimes a shrimp/sandflea is put on it and is fished off the bottom.They can be used as a regular jig with other baits,but this is the main use.
