Why are these on such a steep discount? Because if a new model coming out? I definitely will get one but should I get more?

Walmart is filtering their product… these probably didn’t sell well. I’ve checked every walmart in my area(6+) and none had any available. I’d be jumping all over em.

unless Abu has changed in the last 3-4 years I wouldnt even spend that much on it. I used to run full Revos (X and SX) and they did great 1 or 2 seasons before I was having to send them all out for repair at least once a season. I kept running them for like 5 season because I had ~15 of them and it wasnt going to be cheap to replace. I started replacing them with Shimano and Daiwa and never looked back.

Use Shimano gear my mountain bike and my reels, Shimano has always been top notch.

They are kind of shit, by the second season it’ll be giving you problems

That kind of discount makes a new pole for spring right there.

I’ve gone to the four different Walmarts by my house and not a single one has any clearance fishing reels, rods, or lures. I’ve been checking for weeks. Big sad

The Revo spinning reel is a steal. I like mine a lot for the price.

Because Walmart negotiates deals with big brands based on selling their products at negotiated low prices, brands have to lower their quality to for the Walmart models to make any margin. Hence, the Walmart line of the Revos are going to be significantly crappier than the real deal.
