If you want to catch fish as a beginner use the one inch gulp minnows. You can throw them on a 1/32 to 1/64 jig head with or without a bobber. They seriously catch everything from bluegill to big catfish.
Checked out a few around here and got the Rage craws/bugs for $3 a pack, the 6th Sense Quake 70s for $5, and the Shimano Sedona’s for $32. They had an Abu Garcia Spinning Combo for $40, regular $100 but I didn’t need another rod Posted by nprotz
