this is my first time doing it and im gonna be throwing a glide bait so im scared if I trimmed it too short or if I did it incorrectly (15lb braid to 20lb mono all I had)

I like to leave the tag on the braid 1/8” – 1/4”…. Let it fluff up
Otherwise, in my experience the tag will fray and cause a knot failure. Especially with heavier baits
Otherwise it looks great for a first knot imo!

Retie with a very small braided line tag end like the other guy said or this will fail. The knot doesnt look completely cinched down from one end to the other but i may be wrong about that. Just looks tighter on the braided line side
