A junk hauler / fishing buddy of mine just sent me this picture from a clean-up. Any of y’all ever seen something like this? I think it’s probably a homemade build, but still pretty cool!

I haven’t seen anything like it. I was going to mention that the guides would be all wrong, but it looks like they used small guides for the fly but still spaced those small guides adequately off of the pole to line up with the spinning reel. I’d be very interested to try this out.

Looks like a vintage eagle claw pack it spinning/flycast travel rod.
They make an updated telescopic version, but they do not come with that sweet case. At least the models I’ve purchased.
Very cool vintage piece. Especially with all the literature.

Marlboro used to have one made by pflueger if you collected enough Marlboro miles you could trade them in for it.
