Local pond here I wanna try and catch some bass in. The line in red is the north side of the pond and the whole edge is lined with cat tails. 5 feet off the point right across from the dock is about 14 feet which I’ve caught perch at. Would this be my best spot to try for bass? Not sure if it gets any deeper. All on the black like is 14-16 feet and I caught bluegill and perch in every hole I drilled across that line.

Try fishing that line and see what you get. If bluegill are there then bass should be close by. Points are always good for bass. Do you have any kind of electronics or just wingin it?
