Hi all, bought a daiwa regal LT3000 off ebay “new” in clam-shell. This is what the reel sounds like with anti-reverse on. Makes no sound and feels smooth with the anti-reverse off.
I have another regal LT1000 which has never made this squeaky/clicky sound.
Any advice on what I can do on my end? I have lubed the shaft but that doesn’t help. The reel does make this sound with the retrieve handle removed.
I am able to return but would have to pay return shipping. Wondering if this could be a simple fix?

Not a simple fix necessarily. This is a faulty reel. Your AR sounds either dry at best, faulted/corroded at worst. I think returning it will cost less than the possible parts that you need.
