I had a tipper knot and it looks like it tore through my rio gold fly line a little bit. Can I glue it/ repair it in any way or do I have to buy a whole new fly line?
Thanks!

It’s cooked. Time for a new one. Possibly time for a new finger also.

Depends on how close to the end of your line it is. If you won’t lose much, clip it off and add a new leader with a nail knot and you will be OK. If it’s too far down the line it could effect the way it casts if you chop it off.

Where is it on the fly line? Near the tip?

I’ve used u.v resin, works out just fine.

If the core isn’t damaged put heat shrink around it, heat with a heat gun until the line slightly softens. Gently roll it (dont burn yourself).
Works 60 percent of the time everytime. If it doesnt youre buying a new fly line anyways.
