After months of researching I finally picked this up off facebook marketplace for a great price. Perfect mix of features and size that fits great on the roof of my sedan. The original owner already installed all the typical QoL mods as well as a fish finder.
Any tips before I hit the water the first time?

– invest in a quality PFD
– take an online kayak safety course
– dress for the swim not the float
Congrats. Do youself a favor and position the kayak forward when roof topping. Even upside down for better aerodynamics and more contact to the roof. It’s also highly recommended that you remove all accessories, even the seat when transporting. Everything must be secured. Imagine driving down the road seeing your sonar unit fly off and hit a car behind you. Brutal. Its a pain to rig up and rig down every single time.. but that is yak fishing/car-topping.
