Started to get into fishing recently and this is what I’ve got so far in terms of equipment
Most of the stuff in the box were given to me by my grandad who loves fishing but I thought I’d share on here see if anyone has suggestions on what I should add
For actually catching the fish I currently have just the 2 rods and the hand reel. The small yellow rod and hand reel work fine but the blue one is pretty finicky when it comes to casting (it’s very bumpy and not at all smooth) so I might consider replacing it with something smaller (2.8 meters is a bit long)

Get a cheap Shakespeare from Walmart for like 15 to 20 bones. You don’t need anything super fancy starting out. Some dudes will say stuff like “carrot stick or nothing”. Pay no mind. No need to spend mad money until you have a feel for what kind of rod length and reel you like.
First thing I would do is get new line. Monofiliament I replace yearly at the very least. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a year depending on usage or exposure to UV light (like in my car) also you need a tool for hook removal. I use medical forceps cause they work well and are cheap
Where are you fishing and wbat for?
