Yeah, he is! also, I do not mean to be disrespectful in any way, but if you’re interested I could give you some Deco tips! For example colorful gravel isn’t really recommended as it can stress the fish out. Not tryna come at you, just trying to help out here. I’d be more than glad to give you more tips and explain why they’re necessary if you’re interested :))

Im sure your son would loveeee a tank upgrade! 😁 5 gallons is the bare minimum, and 10 gallons is the ethical minimum. However, bigger is always best. (From experience, i suggest a 20 long) Bettas are extremelyyy active fish and loveee to explore. My boy (Ghibli) uses every single inch of his 20 long. They also like lots of tall plants that they can swim through and hide in.
if u have facebook marketplace its great place to look for cheaper stuff even live plants! also reading the comments loveee that ur getting a bigger tank:)
