I usually go to the ozarks for about 3 to 4 hours per trip and sometimes I catch nothing and sometimes I catch 1 or 2 mid largemouth bass, I just started bass fishing and only really throw a senko and crankbait, I have more lures I want to try but don't know when to use them, im next to 2 small cruise boats, some open docks, some rocks by the shore, i have just about all the basic bass lures and would want to know what to throw when and where

I like a nice chatterbait from time to time over my spinner baits. Bounced off the dock edges and along the fronts of the slip openings.
Agent Roy Petty?
I bet a fat stubby 3″ tube bait in green pumpkin with a little shimmer with a 3/16 oz tube jig head would crush around the rock piles. Timber, id throw a weightless superfluke in Arkansas shiner color, or a trick worm, possibly a bright color if I’m going for reaction, or maybe junebug if I’m working the bottom. With the fluke I’ll walk it amongst the tree branches and dock pilings. Let it fall and watch for the line to twitch. Also done well with a Texas rig, pinned 3/16 oz black bullet weight with a red shad color zoom or culprit ribbon tail worm. Early morning and evening I like a wake bait, preferably a medium size rat lure with the tail just wagging on the surface. Bone color rat with a pink tail unless the water is muddy or it’s dark, then black rat. Also, don’t sleep on tailspinners. They aren’t thrown much but they will slay and you’ll catch hybrids as well. Look for a lure that looks like a rattle trap kind of but with a tail spinner. I lost the only one I had and I can’t remember the name of it and I’ve yet to ever see one again. It was silver and it caught many stripers below the ohio river dam here in Louisville.
